Unsafe mining practices in the riverine regions of Ghana carried out by locals to earn money and support their families undermine two of the United Nations' 17 Sustainable Development Goals: good health and well-being, and clean water and sanitation. While these activities may provide short-term financial benefits, they ultimately leave communities with contaminated water and poor sanitation, compromising their health and well-being.
Every contribution helps us advance climate action and UN SDGs. Join us in creating a sustainable future for the many.
